LWVSFC Event October 16, 2019
Lunch with a Leader with Lisa Randall.
Beginning in 2010, under Lisa Randall's leadership, the Santa Fe Public Schools District Sustainability Program initiatives have expanded to include renewable energy, waste reduction, energy and water conservation, and a move towards a District-wide Sustainability Guide. Since the 2010 start, a 43% reduction in water use, along with a 13% reduction in electricity and 38% reduction in natural gas use, has allowed the Santa Fe Public Schools to redirect more than $400,000 away from utility companies annually, and put it back into the classroom. Coupled with a 35% recycling diversion rate, and 20% of the District's electrical demand powered by solar PV, SFPS has developed both policy and practice supporting sustainability.
Lunch will be catered by Kaune's. Please select your choice. For sandwich or wraps only, please select a side. If you don't want to purchase lunch, please select no lunch at the bottom of the menu.
